 My Review
I really recommend that you read all the other books of the series before you start to read this. This book is a carry on from the other three books of the Shiver series. It takes on of the other main characters from the Shiver series which are Cole St. Clair and Isabel Culpeper. You both meet these character in different stages of the book series and get to know them as well as found out how their relationship came to be.
Isabel is a strong, independent women who doesn’t take shit from anyone but she can be vulnerable and scared of certain things especially when it is about her feelings. She doesn’t like to show emotion or that she cares about people’s opinions of her and her family, she would rather hide her true feelings and thoughts which would make her life more difficult for herself. Even though she can be self-absorbed and a bitch which is noticed throughout the series but she is very loyal to her friends in any situation and very caring when she opens up from being in her shell.
Then you have Cole St. Clair who is a mystery person who is hard to figure out. He can be hard to understand this might be because he is so smart and had/has a complicated life. He can be weird and difficult at times and selfish but he has a heart when it comes to his friends. He is someone you would call him a bad boy who thought he would get everything that he wanted and do whatever he wanted without consequences but that he something learns throughout the books that life doesn’t revolve around him. But the biggest thing when it comes to Cole is that for him to actually be decent and reasonable, he needs to be around Isabel, he needs Isabel so that he doesn’t go spinning out of control.
Both these characters need each other to help them grow as individuals but also to grow within their relationship. This is a light book in general perspective it isn’t full of drama well there is quite a bit of drama but it is an easy read even though it did take me a while to read this book as I have had to concentrate more on University than my hobbies. But this is a book is a great way to get better insight to both characters and their relationship and how they interactive together. With it being the end of the Shiver series I believe it is a great way to end the story overall and the characters have ended in a great way. I believe that Cole and Isabel are perfect for each as people say that opposites attract and that is exactly represented their relationship and I have so much hope for the future of their relationship.
