My Review:
I don’t quite remember how I came across this book series but it must of being a late night internet session. But I do remember that it is how I came across Goodreads for the first time. I looked up what the book is about and people’s opinions on what they thought of the book. I instantly felt intrigued about this book and the series and what people thought about it’s what convinced me to get the book. But it wasn’t until months later around Christmas last year was when I decided to buy the books. This book is very different from any werewolf book series that I have read before. The only concept of the how and what the werewolves are like and change in the book are very different and it was very enlightening and unique to read something like this.
The main character Grace is such a kind heart intriguing person who has a past with the wolves of Mercy Falls. She is someone who has always believed that the wolves are not as dangerous as everyone makes them out to be. She continues to be interested in wanting to know everything about wolves especially about the one with the yellow eyes. She is a character will stop at nothing to figure out the mysteries of the wolves and what happen to her all those years ago. She has to become an independent person because of her family dynamics in which I believe has made her stronger. She is strong will, mature and courageous person and when she has her mind set on something she does everything in her power to achieve whether that being in her school work or the wolves of Mercy Falls. She loves with all of her heart and maybe it might get her in trouble one day.
Sam is an amazing character who has a bad and mysterious past that continues to affect in his day to day life. Alongside, the fact of being a wolf has also had to deal with the issues that can with being a wolf in Mercy Falls and the side effects of being a wolf for so many years. But that doesn’t seem to matter to him so much only the thing that matters to him is the girl that was bitten all those years ago. Grace has intrigued him so much that he continues to watch over her over the years. He is quiet, mysterious type who is always interested learning new things and coming up with song ideas that continue to invade is daily life. I love how Sam’s mind works with using daily life to come up with song lyrics that help explain situations or feelings for him.
This book is a fantastic read and part of the series that I will continue read because it is addictive. The appearance of the book is what also is amazing how it has a base colour is blue and with the use of different blue is excellent. But the most interest part of the design of this book is that fact the base colour for the book is also the colour of the writing in the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves werewolf books or anything fantasy.
